To provide our DMCA scanning, detection, and takedown services, GoneProof collects the following categories of information:
- Contact information: your email address;
- Payment information: billing details processed securely through Stripe (we never store full card numbers);
- Uploaded content: reference images you provide so we can detect unauthorized copies;
- Creator identifiers: stage names, profile URLs, and platform handles associated with your monitored content;
- Account data: subscription plan, scan history, and takedown records;
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, and usage logs for security and analytics.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use the information we collect to:
- Scan the internet for unauthorized copies of your uploaded content;
- Run AI-powered detection to match and identify leaked material;
- Generate and send DMCA takedown notices on your behalf;
- Process payments and manage your subscription;
- Communicate with you about scans, takedowns, and account updates;
- Improve our detection accuracy and service quality;
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud or abuse of the Service.
3. Data Retention
We retain your uploaded content, scan results, and takedown records for as long as your account is active. After account cancellation or deletion, we retain data for up to 90 days to complete pending takedowns and for record-keeping, after which it is permanently deleted. Payment records may be retained longer as required by tax and financial regulations.
4. Third Parties
We share data with the following trusted service providers, each of which has its own privacy policy:
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing;
- Supabase — database hosting and authentication infrastructure;
- Cloud providers — for hosting, scanning infrastructure, and CDN delivery;
- Email providers — for transactional and notification emails.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
5. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember your theme preferences, and analyze traffic. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Some features of the Service may not function properly if cookies are disabled.
